The 50 year old Grand Cru from Chateau Montifaud. The bottle is made from hand blown glass and the label is printed on custom paper that uses the handwriting of one of the owners.
Unseen: we also tasted a 1977 cask strength as well a 1947 directly from the barrel in the warehouse where they age.
Drinking these expressions that are older than oneself really puts into perspective how much patience is devoted to the craft of cognac making.

Two out of the four dishes that we enjoyed at our Zabb Elee lunch.
Seen: duck larb (ground meat, shallot, fresh mint, scallion, cilantro, chili powder & lime dressing) and papaya salad with preserved crab, pickled fish & crispy pork skin. Plus a Thai iced tea.
Unseen: the sautéed morning glory 👌 & Zabb noodle soup with beef.
